Frequently asked questions

Do I need a motorcycle licence to ride?
Yes – a full A license is best for our bikes (which are all road-legal and over 250cc).
If you have an A2 license, you can still ride—but you’ll be limited to our KTM 250 Freeride (about 22 horsepower, perfect for new or smaller riders).
Coming from outside the EU? Bring an International Driving Permit (IDP) if your license isn’t in English or Portuguese.
What do I need to bring?
    • Here’s the no-BS packing list:

      • Passport:
If you’re coming from outside the EU (yep, that includes the UK), make sure it’s valid for at least three months after you leave Portugal and issued within the last 10 years.

      • Motorcycle License:
Full bike license, plus an International Driving Permit (IDP) if your home country requires it. (UK photocard licenses are fine without an IDP.)

      • Thick socks:
Your feet will thank you after a day in the boots

      • Adventure insurance:
We strongly recommend getting sports travel insurance that covers off-road motorcycling. Try JJS Insurance or Navigator Travel Insurance or Voyager Insurance – these guys know the drill.

      • Health card:

        • EU citizens: Bring your European Health Insurance Card for emergency cover.

        • Non-EU: Check if your government has a reciprocal health agreement with Portugal.

        • UK: Your EHIC card works until it expires, then you’ll need the new GHIC. (See gov.uk for the details.)

We’ve got all the riding kit here—helmet, boots, armor, gloves—all cleaned and ready for you.
Want to bring your own gear? Absolutely, it’s more than welcome.

Do you provide a pickup service?
Yes – we’ll pick you up at Faro airport and get you straight to our base in Rasmalo. No hunting for taxis, no waiting around. At the end of your stay, we’ll run you back to the airport too. Got a different arrival plan or special request? Just let us know – we’ll make it work.
Can I pay in GBP’s (£) ?

No problem! We price our tours in Euros (EUR €), but you can pay your deposit in GBP or EUR—whichever is easiest for you. Just let us know your preference, and we’ll send a payment link at booking using the current exchange rate.

When it’s time to settle up, you can pay the balance in cash (EUR) or by personal card. Card payments will use your bank’s exchange rate—simple and transparent.
If you have any questions about payment options, just ask—we’re here to make it easy.

Do you ride all year round?

We ride hard from September through June. July and August with less riding – way too hot and high wildfire risk, plus the trails need a breather. Rest of the year, we’re rolling.

Are your tours set on fixed days or dates?
No fixed schedule here. You tell us when you want to ride, and we’ll do our best to make it happen. Peak months (October–December and February–May) book up fast, so the earlier you shout, the better your odds. Always double-check with us before booking flights—just to be safe.
Can I bring a non-rider(s) along?
Absolutely. Non-riders are welcome at the house—relax by the pool, explore the area, or just take it easy while you hit the trails. Let us know and we’ll sort accommodation and a quote for them.
