Between the Client (You) and Let’s Ride Portugal (Us)All fees are payable in euros. For single-day rides, the full tour price is payable in cash on arrival; no deposit is required. For multi-day tours, a non-refundable deposit of 35% of the total tour cost is due at booking, and the remaining 65% is due before the tour starts. The deposit may be paid by personal debit or credit card over the telephone, or by bank transfer to our Portuguese bank account. Business debit and credit cards are not accepted.
You must hold a valid unrestricted Category A or A2 motorcycle licence.
Lifetime limit. Each client may redeem one promotional discount or prize code once in their lifetime across all Let’s Ride Portugal codes, including codes awarded through our website prize wheel. After redeeming a code, that client may not redeem the same code or any other code on a later booking. A different email address, account, booking or year does not create a new entitlement.
Individual use. The reward applies only to the client to whom it was awarded. It does not extend to other riders in the same booking or to the whole group, even if one person organises or pays for the group. Multiple discount or prize codes cannot be combined.
Reward value. Percentage rewards provide the discount stated in the offer, such as 10%, 20% or 30%. The Free Day Ride reward has a value of €279 excluding VAT, equivalent to €343.17 including 23% VAT. It covers the recipient’s single-day ride or is deducted from that recipient’s package as confirmed in the booking quotation. It is a non-cash reward and cannot be exchanged for a cash payment.
How to redeem. Please provide your code and the name and email address used to receive it when requesting your booking quotation. We check the reward and any previous redemption against the client’s booking and customer history. The quotation will identify the services covered by the reward, the discount and the final price including applicable VAT before you confirm the booking.
When a code is used. A code is redeemed when its reward is applied to a confirmed booking or invoice. Spinning the wheel, receiving a prize email, making an enquiry or receiving a draft quotation does not by itself use the entitlement.
Other booking terms. All other booking, payment, cancellation and rider requirements continue to apply. Any conditions specific to an offer will be communicated before booking. This policy does not change terms already agreed for a confirmed booking or affect your statutory consumer rights.
Distance Selling / No Right of Withdrawal
Where your booking relates to leisure services provided on a specific date or within a specific period, you acknowledge that, under applicable consumer law, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply. By completing the booking, you confirm that you have been informed of this prior to concluding this contract.Refunds
All deposit payments are non-refundable. In the event of tour cancellation (or No Show), we will obtain, from you, payment in full for all sums due as detailed below:
Any balance payments due will be collected via the Debit / Credit Card as used for the deposit payment.
In the event we are forced to cancel your tour due to circumstances beyond our control, we will offer you a rebooking free of charge. Any refund due to you will be limited to the amount paid by you up to the point of cancellation. We are not responsible for any consequential or follow on loss as a result of tour cancellation including but not limited to flight or transfer costs, separately organized accommodation or equipment/vehicle hire, for this we highly recommend suitable travel insurance as listed below.
Before starting the tour, you are required to read, agree and sign our dangerous sports activity disclaimer. You are, in all circumstances, responsible for your own behavior, your allocated bike, and for all equipment under your control. Our tours are not rallies, race or enduro events – there is no speed counter nor allotted time. You should adapt your speed according to the places you are traveling through. Riding slowly and courteously through villages or built up areas; respecting the local people; their customs; the wildlife and the terrain. Remember off road/trail riding can be a dangerous activity. You are renting the motorcycle and as such you are solely liable for all traffic offenses / fines incurred by you for any breach of the law except where such offenses are due to the vehicle not complying with the road traffic regulations. During the tour, you agree to comply with the laws, bylaws, rules, regulations and customs of the country you are visiting, especially in respect of health, immigration, alcohol, drugs or any other matter.
We cover normal damage to the motorcycle, including engine damage. Damage caused by intentional or disproportionately irresponsible behaviour is excluded, and we reserve the right to charge you for that damage. Following the instructions or directions of our guides does not fall within this exception.
You will receive a motorcycle and the required equipment at the start of the tour and must take reasonable care of them throughout. If the motorcycle or equipment fails for reasons beyond your control, we will try to provide a timely replacement, but cannot guarantee one because of location, logistics or availability.
You must follow your guide’s advice and instructions. If damage is caused by the intentional or disproportionately irresponsible behaviour described above, or by failing to follow the guide’s advice and instructions, we are not obliged to provide replacement equipment for the remainder of the tour. No refund will be given for any unused part of the tour in that case.
Each day we will advise you of the routes, the distances and the type of terrain that will be covered. We reserve the right to change the tours at our discretion. If you leave the tour voluntarily before the end of the tour or are required to do so by a duly authorized representative, on the grounds that your presence is considered detrimental to the safety or well-being of the tour or anyone on the tour, then any liability we may have towards you will cease immediately. We will have no responsibility for repatriation, or any other expense incurred by you as a result of such an event and no refunds will be given for any unused portion of the tour. You acknowledge that due to the nature of the tour, no responsibility can be accepted by us for any accident, loss or damage to your vehicle or other property, whether owned, loaned or on hire to the Client. The motorcycle specification may be subject to change without notice (including make, model and engine capacity).
You MUST carry photo ID and your motorcycle license with you at all times whilst riding – this is a legal requirement in Portugal. If you do not hold a photo license, you must also carry your passport, as a form of identification.
You must be in a general state of good health with no heart, back or neck injuries to take part in one of our tours, if in doubt, please ask your local GP for advice – our tours are run in a relaxed fashion but can be quite physical at times. You must be able to mount and dismount the motorcycle safely, without assistance. Responsibility for your health and well-being remains with you at all times.
You acknowledge the inherent risk and dangers of off-road motorcycles, and ride entirely at your own risk and we, our agents, representatives, or any other person assisting us is not liable for any personal loss, injury, accident, damage, delay or inconvenience whether caused by our own acts or events outside our control (eg strikes, civil war, mechanical breakdown, weather etc.)
All bikes are covered by 3rd party Insurance; however, we do not offer personal medical or repatriation insurance. There are many brokers on the internet that will cover you if you require it. We would, however, recommend holiday insurance with a dangerous sports extension.
