Before starting the tour, you are required to read, agree and sign our dangerous sports activity disclaimer.
You are, in all circumstances, responsible for your own behavior, your allocated bike, and for all equipment under your control.
Our tours are not rallies, race or enduro events – there is no speed counter nor allotted time. You should adapt your speed according to the places you are traveling through. Riding slowly and courteously through villages or built up areas; respecting the local people; their customs; the wildlife and the terrain.
Remember off road/trail riding can be a dangerous activity.
You are renting the motorcycle and as such you are solely liable for all traffic offenses / fines incurred by you for any breach of the law except where such offenses are due to the vehicle not complying with the road traffic regulations.
During the tour, you agree to comply with the laws, bylaws, rules, regulations and customs of the country you are visiting, especially in respect of health, immigration, alcohol, drugs or any other matter.
While it is not our policy to charge for damage to the motorcycles or equipment, we reserve the right to charge for damage caused to any property, if in our opinion, the damage is caused by negligence, misuse, recklessness or malicious intent on your part. This does not include following the instructions or directions of our tour guides.
You will be issued with a bike and all required equipment at the beginning of the tour and you are responsible for taking reasonable care of the allocated bike and equipment for the duration of the tour. In the event of failure of the bike or any equipment for reasons beyond your control, we will endeavor to, but cannot guarantee to provide a timely replacement due to location, logistics or availability.
You must follow all advice and instructions given by your tour guide. If any damage is caused by your negligence, misuse, recklessness or malicious intent as described above, or by failure to follow the advice and instructions of the tour guide, then we are under no responsibility to provide replacement equipment for the remainder of the tour and no refund will be given for any unused portion of the tour.
Each day we will advise you of the routes, the distances and the type of terrain that will be covered. We reserve the right to change the tours at our discretion.
If you leave the tour voluntarily before the end of the tour or are required to do so by a duly authorized representative, on the grounds that your presence is considered detrimental to the safety or well-being of the tour or anyone on the tour, then any liability we may have towards you will cease immediately. We will have no responsibility for repatriation, or any other expense incurred by you as a result of such an event and no refunds will be given for any unused portion of the tour.
You acknowledge that due to the nature of the tour, no responsibility can be accepted by us for any accident, loss or damage to your vehicle or other property, whether owned, loaned or on hire to the Client.
The motorcycle specification may be subject to change without notice (including make, model and engine capacity).
You MUST carry photo ID and your motorcycle license with you at all times whilst riding – this is a legal requirement in Portugal. If you do not hold a photo license, you must also carry your passport, as a form of identification.
You must be in a general state of good health with no heart, back or neck injuries to take part in one of our tours, if in doubt, please ask your local GP for advice – our tours are run in a relaxed fashion but can be quite physical at times.
You must be able to mount and dismount the motorcycle safely, without assistance.
Responsibility for your health and well-being remains with you at all times.
You acknowledge the inherent risk and dangers of off-road motorcycles, and ride entirely at your own risk and we, our agents, representatives, or any other person assisting us is not liable for any personal loss, injury, accident, damage, delay or inconvenience whether caused by our own acts or events outside our control (eg strikes, civil war, mechanical breakdown, weather etc.)
All bikes are covered by 3rd party Insurance; however, we do not offer personal medical or repatriation insurance. There are many brokers on the internet that will cover you if you require it. We would, however, recommend holiday insurance with a dangerous sports extension.
